Overview:
Optometry is the healthcare profession of measuring vision, prescribes and fit lenses to improve vision, and detecting & treat various eye diseases. Ophthalmic assistants help ophthalmologists care for patients by taking histories, performing various procedures and tests, and preparing patients to see the doctor. Their work provides the ophthalmologist with important information to help diagnose and treat patients. Diploma in Ophthalmic Assistant is of two years duration.
Eligibility :
The basic eligibility for courses in physiotherapy is 10+2 passed or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English. At least 45% of marks should be secured in each of these subjects. Age limit for the candidates is 17 years.
