The Department offers a three-year bachelor degree programme, a two-year master’s programme.

The Department conducts workshops on various aspects of broadcast journalism for both Bachelor's & Master's – Journalism and Mass Communication programmes, keeping in view the current technology trends, innovations in journalism and up to date workflows for news television. These workshops shall cover reporting, anchoring, breaking news, news production and the role of a producer, different departments of a news channel, writing for television news, the newsroom scenario, operations – live PCR / camera/ editing / technical overview of modern television newsrooms and Digital Media.

Eligibility :
Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate considering all the subjects.
AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2018 (applicant should be born on or after 1st July of 1996).
