For year-round fitness and strength training, GNSU offers two dedicated gymnasiums—separately for male and female students. Both gyms are equipped with cardio machines, resistance training equipment, free weights, and stretching areas. Supervision is provided by trained staff to ensure safety and effectiveness during workouts. Gym facilities are also available to faculty and staff during designated hours. Understanding the importance of personal safety, especially for female students, the university has introduced special self-defense training in Taekwondo, conducted regularly under the guidance of one trained professional.
To promote mental well-being and inner balance, the university maintains a Yoga and Meditation Centre, located in a peaceful, central part of the campus. The facility hosts regular sessions on yoga, breathing techniques, mindfulness, and meditation. Students from various disciplines, especially from the Faculties of Nursing, Paramedical Sciences, and Physiotherapy, also utilize the space for practical sessions as part of their curriculum. The university has developed a Jogger’s Park with tree-lined paths, seating areas, and evening lighting, encouraging a culture of wellness and work-life balance. Additionally, a dedicated Sports Academy operates on campus to cater to the physical development of children of resident faculty and staff.
