Alumni at GNSU are valuable stakeholders and ambassadors of the University. It has established a registered and functional Alumni Association.The GNSU Alumni Association, comprising graduates from the faculties of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Law, and Management, plays a stellar role in institutional development through financial contributions, mentorship programs, placement support, academic collaborations, and social outreach activities. The university has taken several initiatives to promote alumni engagement in meaningful ways. These efforts not only help alumni stay connected with their alma mater but also allow current students to benefit from their experiences and insights.

The Alumni Association is a registered body governed by an elected executive committee comprising a President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Faculty Coordinators. It functions independently but in close coordination with the university’s Alumni Cell. The association conducts annual alumni meets, interactive sessions, and networking events both online and offline to foster a sense of belonging and community engagement.

One of the key components of GNSU's alumni engagement strategy is reflected in alumni section of GNSU website. This digital platform serves as a hub where former students can register, update their professional information, network with fellow graduates, and stay informed about university events and developments. The portal aims to strengthen the bond between the university and its alumni community by fostering a sense of belonging and pride.

GNSU also organizes regular alumni interaction programs. Post covid, several alumni interaction sessions have been organised by various Faculties of the university.These events provided a platform for alumni to share their success stories, industry knowledge, and career advice with current students.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, alumni in healthcare served as front-line responders, and many contributed financial aid, PPE kits, and oxygen concentrators through the alumni association.
