Centre of Excellence - IKS
The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) has been gaining increasing attention in higher education in India, especially after the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasized integrating IKS into mainstream education.
The University has established a Centre of Excellence on Indian Knowledge System which regularly conduct Workshop, Seminar, Faculty Development Program etc. to create awareness as well as inculcate interest among the University Staff and Students. The university has also successfully incorporated the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) course into its curriculum, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This comprehensive program explores various dimensions of Indian culture and knowledge systems across diverse departments, covering topics such as urban and rural culture, family structures, museum archives, society, Indian architecture, heritages, ancient Indian epigraphy, ethnoarchaeology, and traditional ecological knowledge. Designed to cater to the diverse interests of students across disciplines, the course utilizes both traditional classroom teaching
Vision
To pursue multi-disciplinary activities in IKS that can significantly contribute towards enabling our future generations to seek sustainable solutions in addressing individual and societal challenges.
