Pharm.D (PB) stands for Doctor of Pharmacy (Post-Baccalaureate). It is a professional doctoral degree in pharmacy, similar to the traditional Pharm.D. degree, but it is designed for individuals who have already completed a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as biology, chemistry, or a related science) and wish to pursue a career as a pharmacist.

Eligibility:
(A) B. Pharm Degree examination of an Indian university and has scored not less than 55 % of the maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years of B. Pharm).
(B) Every student, selected for admission to post graduate pharmacy program in any PCI approved institution should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.
Course and Fee Details:
The program of study for M.Pharm. shall extend over a period of four semesters (two academic years). The curricula and syllabi for the course will be prescribed from time to time by Phamacy Council of India, New Delhi.

Syllabus for Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)
The eligibility criteria for pursuing this course is that a student must qualify for a Master's degree in Pharmacy or any equivalent course securing a minimum of 55% of marks/qualifying in the entrance examinations.
Those exempted from GPAT: A candidate who has qualified in a national level test such as National Eligibility Test (NET-JRF), CSIR-JRF, NET-LS (without fellowship), Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE), Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test Gopal Narayan Singh University Ph.D. Admission Test (GPAT), State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) accredited by UGC, Central or State Government will be considered for direct admission if otherwise eligible.
An employee of any other university/ institution/ government department/ public sector undertaking/ R & D organization/ private company, who is a sponsored candidate by the parent organization, with at least 3 years of experience and who is relieved on study leave for a period of not less than three years for pursuing Ph. D. Programme in the University.
A foreign national holding fellowship by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Government of India and who is sponsored by his/her government.
A self-financing foreign national who has been permitted by the Embassies/High commission of his/her country for admission to a Ph.D. Programme.
In the light of the guidelines/ instructions of the Department of Higher education, Ministry of Education, GOI on grant of research visa, the foreigners who desire to undertake research in India, shall have to apply to the concerned Indian Missions abroad for the purpose to be undertaken in India.
Foreign Candidates: English Proficiency certificate of TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) (minimum 70 marks) or IELTS (Minimum score requirement 6 bands) score is mandatory for Foreign candidates at the time of submission of application form for the admission to a Ph.D. Programme in the University. In absence of these scores/certificate or English Proficiency certificate, the candidate shall have to appear in the English Proficiency test to be conducted by Office of the Controller of Examinations of the Gopal Narayan Singh University.
