Information organization: This includes cataloging, classification, metadata, and other techniques for organizing and retrieving information effectively.
Information retrieval: The study of techniques and systems for retrieving information from various sources, including databases, digital libraries, and the internet.
Collection development: The process of selecting and acquiring materials for libraries and information centers, considering factors such as user needs, budget constraints, and resource availability.
Reference and information services: Teaching students how to assist users in finding and accessing information, answering reference questions, and providing research support.
