First of its kind Landmark achievement by Dr. Ipseeta Nanda (Associate Professor) Faculty of Information Technology, Gopal Narayan Singh University, Jamuhar, Sasaram, Bihar.

She has grabbed her first Australian Innovation PATENT titled “SYSTEM OF INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) BASED WORKER SAFETY HELMET FOR MINING TRACKING”, for a period of eight years commencing from 16 March 2021.

Dr. Ipseeta has invented an RF-based global positioning framework, utilizing a microcontroller integrated circuit equipped into the cap of the mining labourers that enable effective monitoring of their travelling inside the mining site. An IoT enabled application will constantly pass the information on any crisis like poisonous gas inward, breathlessness, collapses, actual injury and so forth to the site managers. The invented technology will resolve several issues in mines by ensuring absolute safety and early crisis interventions.

The scope of this invention is well-knit with providing technology-based solutions to the unsafe underground mining jobs, overwhelmed with high risk, lack of safety, and fewer social guarantees.

As a newly established Private University in the Jamuhar region of Bihar, Gopal Narayan Singh University (GNSU) is always attracting talented and versatile faculty members across the disciplines. GNSU ensures sound research, innovation and an entrepreneurial ecosystem for the researchers and scientists. Let GNSU proudly congratulate and celebrate with Associate Professor (Dr) Ipseeta Nanda, on this occasion for her hard work, dedication and successful achievement of PATENT and INVENTION.
