The Student Development Program (SDP), organized as part of IEEE Education Week 2026, is a week-long initiative focused on enhancing technical skills, fostering innovation, and promoting collaborative learning.Hosted by the Faculty of Information Technology & Engineering, GNSU, this program brings together students, educators, and industry experts through a hybrid format-allowing participation both on-campus and online.Participants will gain hands-on experience, engage in competitive events, and learn directly from professionals across various technology domains.

The IEEE Student Branch of Gopal Narayan Singh University (GNSU), Jamuhar, has announced the commencement of its highly anticipated Student Development Program (SDP) as part of IEEE Education Week 2026. This week-long initiative aims to nurture technical expertise, innovation, and collaborative learning among students and aspiring engineers.
As a part of the globally recognized Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the GNSU Student Branch continues to serve as a vibrant platform encouraging creativity, research, and professional growth.
The IEEE Student Branch of Gopal Narayan Singh University (GNSU), Jamuhar, is set to organize a comprehensive Student Development Program (SDP) from April 11 to April 17, 2026, under IEEE Education Week 2026. The initiative aims to enhance technical skills, promote innovation, and provide hands-on exposure to students through expert-led sessions and competitions.

The Faculty of Information Technology & Engineering (FITE) of Gopal Narayan Singh University, in association with the IEEE Student Branch, successfully organized a Student Project Competition on 29th and 30th May 2026 at the GNSU Campus, Jamuhar, Sasaram, Bihar. The event was conducted with the objective of encouraging innovation, creativity, technical excellence, and project-based learning among students.
A total of 86 students registered and actively participated in the competition. Students from various academic programs enthusiastically showcased their innovative ideas and technical skills through a wide range of projects. Most of the participants presented highly creative, exclusive, and industry-relevant project topics covering emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Robotics, Smart Systems, Software Development, Cybersecurity, and other engineering innovations.
The two-day event provided an excellent platform for students to demonstrate their problem-solving abilities, research capabilities, and practical implementation skills. Participants explained their project objectives, methodologies, technical challenges, and expected societal impacts before the evaluation panel. The quality of projects reflected the students’ dedication, technical knowledge, and innovative thinking.
The successful execution of the event was made possible through the valuable guidance and unwavering support of Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Dashore, Dean of FITE, whose continuous encouragement inspired students to participate actively and showcase their talents.
The project evaluation was conducted by a Prof. (Dr.) S. China Venkateswarlu, IEEE Student Branch Advisor of Gopal Narayan Singh University, along with Prof. (Dr.) Jainath Yadav, Department of Computer Science, Central University of South Bihar, and other esteemed academic experts. Their professional assessment, insightful observations, and constructive feedback played a vital role in identifying outstanding projects, fostering innovation, and motivating students to pursue research, creativity, and technological excellence.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Rajkumar Mandal, Chair-Person of the IEEE Student Branch, and Ms. Warisa Nusrat, IEEE Student Branch Counselor at GNSU. Their dedicated efforts in planning, organizing, mentoring, and managing the competition ensured the smooth conduct of all activities throughout the program.
The competition not only promoted technical innovation but also encouraged teamwork, communication skills, and professional development among students. It served as a valuable learning experience and inspired participants to pursue research, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven solutions for real-world challenges.
The Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Advanced Learning Strategies for Quality Education in the AI-Driven Era” is a 5-day hybrid event organized by the Faculty of Information Technology & Engineering (FITE), Gopal Narayan Singh University (GNSU) in collaboration with the IEEE Kolkata Section.
Scheduled from 23rd to 27th June 2026, the program aims to equip educators, researchers, and professionals with modern teaching methodologies, AI-driven tools, and research-oriented practices to enhance the quality of education in the digital era.

Dr. Angsuman Sarkar is a distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at Kalyani Government Engineering College, West Bengal, with over 23 years of extensive academic, research, and institutional experience. He has previously served at Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College and Kalyani Government Engineering College in various academic positions, including Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor in the ECE Department.
Dr. Sarkar received his M.Tech degree in VLSI & Microelectronics and subsequently completed his Ph.D. from Jadavpur University. His research expertise lies in the advanced domains of short-channel effects in sub-100 nm MOSFETs, nanoelectronics, and semiconductor device modeling, contributing significantly to the development of next-generation electronic devices and technologies.
A highly accomplished researcher and academician, Dr. Sarkar has authored 15 books, 30 contributed book chapters, 132 research articles in international refereed journals, and 77 papers presented at national and international conferences. His outstanding contributions in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology have earned him recognition in the “World Ranking of Top 2% Scientists” list from the Indian subcontinent, jointly published by Stanford University and Elsevier.
Dr. Sarkar is an active member of several prestigious professional organizations, including Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India), Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), and Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). He has also served as the Chairman of the IEEE Electron Device Society, Kolkata Chapter, contributing to the advancement of research and professional activities in the field of electronics and semiconductor devices.
His academic and research excellence has been recognized through numerous prestigious honors, including the Shiksha-Ratna Award 2025 conferred by the Government of West Bengal. He serves on the editorial boards of various journals and acts as a reviewer for several reputed international journals, contributing to the global research community.
Dr. Sarkar has made significant contributions to research mentorship, currently supervising 8 Ph.D. scholars and having successfully guided 9 doctoral students as principal supervisor. He has delivered numerous invited lectures, tutorials, and expert talks at international conferences and technical programs. He has also organized IEEE international conferences, workshops, and seminars, promoting innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
With his exceptional blend of academic leadership, pioneering research contributions, and commitment to technological advancement, Dr. Angsuman Sarkar continues to inspire the next generation of researchers and engineers in the domains of VLSI, nanoelectronics, and semiconductor technology.

Dr. Nisha Bano Siddiqui

Dr. Nisha Siddiqui is a distinguished Professor at the Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore, with over 21 years of academic, research, corporate, and training experience, including international corporate exposure in the Middle East. She is an accomplished educator, researcher, author, corporate trainer, and academic leader with expertise spanning Management, Legal Studies, Information Security, Cyber Forensics, Gender Equity, and Sustainable Life Management.
Dr. Siddiqui holds BBA, MBA, LL.M, and Ph.D. qualifications and has made significant contributions to higher education through innovative teaching methodologies, research supervision, and academic development. Under her esteemed guidance, seven research scholars have been awarded Ph.D. degrees. She has authored eight books in the fields of Management and Law and has delivered nine lectures for SWAYAM MOOCs on “Information Security and Cyber Forensics.” She has also developed two MOOC modules for the State Government on Planning and Organisation.
A recognized academic contributor, Dr. Siddiqui has conducted numerous workshops, seminars, and conferences at prestigious institutions, including National Law University, Jamia Millia Islamia, and IITs. She has been invited as a resource person for professional development programs, including a workshop on “Developing Toolkit for Gender Equity at Workplace” organized by Indian Institute of Technology Mandi on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2025, where she was honored for her contribution.
Beyond academics, Dr. Siddiqui has demonstrated strong leadership in social and community initiatives. She served as the Coordinator of University Youth Festivals since 2009, worked as an NSS Programme Officer, and led several social awareness campaigns. She also headed the women’s cell “Udaan” at IMS, advocating for women’s empowerment and workplace equality. Her efforts in social service and community development were recognized with the “Swachhata Champion Award” by Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC).
Dr. Siddiqui has received several accolades, including the Best Researcher Award (2024) from DAVV for her significant contributions to research in the Management field. She was also recognized among leading educationists under the “My Indore My Pride” campaign by Nai Dunia.
With a strong commitment to inclusive education and social impact, Dr. Siddiqui continues to contribute to academic excellence, research innovation, and community development. She aspires to establish a career counseling startup focused on guiding underprivileged students toward suitable career pathways and funding opportunities, enabling equitable access to education and professional growth.
