On November 16th, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, the 14th President of India, graced the Third Convocation Ceremony of Gopal Narayan Singh University in Rohtas, Bihar, as the Chief Guest. The event was presided over by Shri Rajendra Arlekar, Hon’ble Governor of Bihar, and Shri Gopal Narayan Singh, the visionary founder of the institution. The ceremony was further honored by the presence of Shri Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, Hon’ble Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms, Bihar, as the Esteemed Chairman, and Shri Sunil Kumar, Hon’ble Minister of Education, Bihar, as a Distinguished Guest.
The ceremony celebrated the achievements of approximately 1,661 students who graduated from the university in previous years. Shri Ram Nath Kovind conferred degrees upon the students and presented gold medals to 58 exceptional performers across various disciplines.
In his address to the enthusiastic audience, the former President highlighted key issues such as the significance of girls' education, Bihar's rich cultural heritage, and the importance of adopting a lifelong learning mindset—emphasizing the need to "learn, unlearn, and relearn." He also underscored the value of maintaining both mental and physical health for a fulfilling life.
