Programme Overview

The B.Sc. in Cardiovascular Technology is an undergraduate allied healthcare programme focused on the diagnosis, monitoring, and management of cardiovascular disorders through advanced non-invasive and invasive procedures.

The programme offered by GNSU combines rigorous academic instruction with extensive clinical exposure in cardiology departments, cardiac catheterization laboratories, and intensive care units of the university hospital.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Cardiovascular Technologists are trained to:

  • Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Perform electrocardiography (ECG), treadmill testing (TMT), and echocardiographic assistance
  • Support cardiac catheterization and monitoring procedures
  • Operate and maintain cardiovascular diagnostic equipment
  • Maintain patient data and procedural documentation

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) with Science (PCB)
  2. Minimum 45% aggregate marks
  3. Examination recognized by a statutory board or Indian university
