NSL, GNSU, Moot Court Society, Participation in various National Competition in 2023: A Report

We are delighted to share the outstanding achievements of Narayan School of Law, Gopal Narayan Singh University, in three highly regarded National Moot Court competitions. The excellent performances of our talented students reflect their talent, dedication, expertise, and commitment to the field of law, brought immense pride to our Faculty of Law.

  1. 1st CCI – CUSB National Moot Court Competition (7th to 9th April 2023): A team comprised of three students, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Singh (BBA.LL. B – 8th semester), Ms. Nida Khurshid (BA.LL. B – 8th semester), and Mr. Md. Arif Imam (BBA.LL. B – 6th semester), showcased their legal acumen in this fiercely competitive event. Their journey to the finals was marked by remarkable victories over formidable opponents. During the preliminary rounds, they displayed exemplary advocacy skills, defeating Symbiosis Nagpur and ICFAI Dehradun. Their triumph continued as they emerged victorious against NLU Ranchi in the quarter-finals, followed by a remarkable win over Jamia Milia Islamia in the semi-finals. Finally, they engaged in an intense final round against CNLU Patna, where they demonstrated their exceptional legal knowledge and skills. As a testament to their remarkable performance, our team secured the Runner-Up position in the National Moot Court Competition organised by the Department of Law and Governance, Central University of South Bihar, Gaya in collaboration with Competition Commission of India, New Delhi. Additionally, their commitment to comprehensive research and analysis was recognized, and were honored with the Best Researcher award.
  2. 3rd Justice J.S Verma Memorial National ADRCC Competition(23rd – 24th March 2023): Another team, consisting of Ms. Priya Dubey (BBA.LL.B – 6th semester), Ms. Rashmi Kumari (BA.LL.B – 3rd semester), and Mr. Rohan Kumar (LL.B – 2nd semester), represented the Faculty of Law, Gopal Narayan Singh University, Jamuhar in this esteemed competition focusing on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) problem. Their participation showcased their expertise in the field and their ability to apply practically the ADR principles effectively. The team's remarkable skills and knowledge allowed them to reach the semi-final round, where they captivated the judges with their legal prowess. Though they had not won the Semi – Final Round of the Competition but were highly appreciated by the judges “That the Claimant is far better than Respondent” in their Semi – Final Round.
  3. 3rd Edition Bal Gangadhar Tilak National Moot Court Competition, 2023: Mr. Prakash Singh (BBA.LL. B – 6th semester) and Ms. Rimjhim Sharma (BBA.LL. B – 3rd semester) proudly represented Faculty of Law in this prestigious Moot Court Competition. Their participation in this esteemed event underscores their commitment to refining their advocacy skills and engaging in rigorous legal analysis.
    We extend our sincere gratitude to all individuals who supported our teams throughout these competitions. Prof. Faculty of Law for their unwavering assistance and encouragement.
