First-year students of the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) programme, under the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at Gopal Narayan Singh University, participated in a one-day Educational cum Exposure Visit to the Department of Occupational Therapy, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. The visit included the active involvement of all BOT students along with the teaching and clinical faculty of FRS.
During the programme, students and staff explored the prestigious academic and clinical environment of BHU, gaining firsthand exposure to its exemplary teaching methods and advanced clinical setup. They engaged in meaningful interactions with BHU faculty and students, exchanging ideas, knowledge, and professional experiences.
The primary objective of the visit was to strengthen students’ confidence in their chosen profession and broaden their understanding of the scope of Occupational Therapy. A special highlight of the day was an insightful presentation by Dr. Jaya Dixit, Head of the Occupational Therapy Department at BHU, who guided students on the scope, techniques, and future prospects of Occupational Therapy.
This visit served as a valuable learning experience, inspiring students toward professional growth and excellence in the field of Occupational Therapy.
