Gopal Narayan Singh University Hosts “IBM Day 2026 – Technovate 2.0” with Grand Success

Jamuhar, Rohtas | Gopal Narayan Singh University successfully organized a grand two-day event, “IBM Day 2026 – Technovate 2.0”, on 27th and 28th April 2026. The event celebrated the success of the AI India Impact Summit 2026 and reinforced the university’s commitment to innovation-driven education and strong industry-academia collaboration.

The occasion was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Govind Narayan Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Jagdish Singh, Hon’ble Registrar Kumar Alok Pratap, Board of Governors member Monika Singh, Dean FIT&E Pankaj Dashore, and Program Director Arunava De. The event was efficiently coordinated by Kazi Minhazul Islam. Representatives from IBM and Cognitel, including Shefaly Dutta, Ashutosh Kumar, Manish Sharma, Rohit Rai, and Sonali Lakra, were also present.

“Technovate 2.0” brought together students from diverse disciplines including Engineering, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Law, and Commerce, creating a vibrant platform for interdisciplinary learning and innovation.

Day 1 Highlights


The event commenced with an inaugural session, followed by insightful keynote addresses and the Educational Excellence Awards, recognizing academic leadership and institutional achievements.

A series of engaging competitions were organized, including:

  • Debate competitions on emerging AI themes
  • Group discussions on the future of healthcare in the AI era
  • AI Hackathon – “Build for Bharat,” focusing on real-world problem solving
  • Case study presentations on AI applications in agriculture

 

These activities showcased students’ creativity, analytical thinking, and their ability to apply AI concepts to practical challenges.

The event strongly resonated with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi — “AI for All” emphasizing inclusive growth through technology and highlighting AI’s transformative impact across sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, governance, and business.

 

Day 2 Highlights


The second day focused on recognizing talent and celebrating achievements. Winners of various competitions were felicitated, and top AI Hackathon teams presented their innovative solutions.

Special appreciation was extended to jury members, moderators, coordinators, deans, faculty members, and technical staff for their invaluable contributions. The university also recognized students who participated in the IBM National Hackathon in Surat, reflecting GNSU’s growing presence on national platforms.
