Student Project Competition 2026 | FITE

 

The Faculty of Information Technology & Engineering (FITE) of Gopal Narayan Singh University, in association with the IEEE Student Branch, successfully organized a Student Project Competition on 29th and 30th May 2026 at the GNSU Campus, Jamuhar, Sasaram, Bihar. The event was conducted with the objective of encouraging innovation, creativity, technical excellence, and project-based learning among students.

A total of 86 students registered and actively participated in the competition. Students from various academic programs enthusiastically showcased their innovative ideas and technical skills through a wide range of projects. Most of the participants presented highly creative, exclusive, and industry-relevant project topics covering emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Robotics, Smart Systems, Software Development, Cybersecurity, and other engineering innovations.

The two-day event provided an excellent platform for students to demonstrate their problem-solving abilities, research capabilities, and practical implementation skills. Participants explained their project objectives, methodologies, technical challenges, and expected societal impacts before the evaluation panel. The quality of projects reflected the students’ dedication, technical knowledge, and innovative thinking.

The successful execution of the event was made possible through the valuable guidance and unwavering support of Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Dashore, Dean of FITE, whose continuous encouragement inspired students to participate actively and showcase their talents.

The project evaluation was conducted by a Prof. (Dr.) S. China Venkateswarlu, IEEE Student Branch Advisor of Gopal Narayan Singh University, along with Prof. (Dr.) Jainath Yadav, Department of Computer Science, Central University of South Bihar, and other esteemed academic experts. Their professional assessment, insightful observations, and constructive feedback played a vital role in identifying outstanding projects, fostering innovation, and motivating students to pursue research, creativity, and technological excellence.

The event was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Rajkumar Mandal, Chair-Person of the IEEE Student Branch, and Ms. Warisa Nusrat, IEEE Student Branch Counselor at GNSU. Their dedicated efforts in planning, organizing, mentoring, and managing the competition ensured the smooth conduct of all activities throughout the program.

The competition not only promoted technical innovation but also encouraged teamwork, communication skills, and professional development among students. It served as a valuable learning experience and inspired participants to pursue research, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven solutions for real-world challenges.
